Mera peak is one of the most popular of Nepal’s 18 “Trekking Peaks”. From the trekker, the walk from Lukla through the Sherpa country of the remote Hinkhu valley is an unforgettable experience, offering superb scenery, and abundant wildlife -including rumored sightings of the legendary yeti. About 700 foreign visitors climb the 6654m. Mera peak each year, an achievement which requires mountaineering skills and a special permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association.
The altitude of Mera Peak is 6654m. Above sea level, Mera peak was an almost overlooked mountain to the east of the main Khumbu trekking trails. It is situated in the Everest region in a remote valley, Mera peak is a non technical mountain. It is suitable for anyone of average or above average fitness wishing to fulfill the dream of a high Himalayan summit or those with a yearning for adventure. When you stand upon the summit, spread before you will be an unbelievable panorama of peaks such as Mt. Everest, Makalu & hundreds of other beautiful mountains.
After famous Mera peak summit, our trek takes route to adventures High pass via Amphu Labtsa or Ama Labtsa (5,700m). This pass required to fix Ropes. After Pass, you will reach Chhukung (foot of island peak). This is very long day and one of hard day of this trip.

Mera Peak is a mountain located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas in Nepal. It stands at an elevation of 6,476 meters (21,247 feet) and is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal.
Mera Peak is considered a moderate to difficult climb, with a difficulty level of AD (Assez Difficile) in the alpine grading system. It requires a good level of physical fitness and basic mountaineering skills to climb the peak.
Prior climbing experience is recommended, but it is not necessary to climb Mera Peak. However, climbers must have a good level of physical fitness and be comfortable with basic mountaineering techniques, such as the use of crampons, ice axes, and rope techniques.
Climbers will need a range of specialized mountaineering equipment, such as crampons, ice axes, ropes, harnesses, and helmets. It is recommended to bring your equipment, but it can also be rented in Kathmandu.
Mera Peak is generally considered a safe climb, but it does come with risks associated with high-altitude mountaineering, such as altitude sickness and avalanches. Climbers should take adequate precautions and ensure they are physically and mentally prepared for the climb.
Duration: Around 152 kilometers
Time: Around 27 days, which includes acclimatization days and time for rest and exploration.
Permit: Climbing Mera Peak requires a climbing permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). The cost of the permit depends on the season and the number of climbers in the group. As of 2021, the cost for a group of up to four climbers in the autumn season (September to November) is $350, and in the spring season (March to May), it is $250.
Guide: Hiring a licensed guide is mandatory for this trek, and it is recommended to hire a porter as well.
